Skills
required:
General: A candidate for this position should be able to write in English professional, accurate and interesting stories and press-releases about the work of Wildlife SOS.
Web Site
- Write 6 – 7 stories per week on current WSOS rescues and conservation efforts.
- Write stories that are engaging, factual, timely and relevant.
- Stories must be in English and must be grammatically correct.
- Regularly review the website content and edit for grammatical/English errors.
- Review the website content and edit information for consistency and quality.
- Develop professional relationships with outreach staff to stay up to date on activities/rescues/developments with WSOS.
- Able to write stories with quick turn around time when there is breaking news and the information needs to get out to the public immediately.
- Maintain a daily blog on the work of WSOS / key personnel for WSOS.
Press- Releases/Magazines/Media
- Develop personal contacts with the media in all states where WSOS is working.
- Write weekly press-releases about WSOS news that is factual, timely and relevant.
- Submit stories about WSOS programs/work/achievements to national/international magazines and media.
Other
- Write weekly updates to International partners & major donors.
- Research and write proposals for grants.
- Write all follow-ups needed for maintaining correspondences with foundations/donors and others needed for partnership cultivation and contractual agreements.
- Write/Edit all collateral for the organization including leaflets, posters.
- Gather, collate, compile and send Information about organizational activities in a timely manner for monthly newsletters to supporters / donors.
Candidates having keen interest in wildlife, animals, PR & journalism will have an added advantage.

Position. Fund Raising Officer
|
Skills
required:
A candidate for this position should be experienced in fund raising and marketing and fluent with CSR initiatives. Candidate must be able to create powerful touching presentations for raising funds, be able to write fund raising appeals & communicate in impeccable English and portray the work of Wildlife SOS in an accurate and interesting manner to help generate support and resources in cash and in kind to carry on the work of Wildlife SOS.
Found Raising
- Generate support for WSOS projects and initiatives through online fundraising as well as through direct mail appeals and other forms of direct marketing.
- Develop strategy and implement the same to ensure successful and effective fund raising through all channels possible including merchandising, collaborations etc.
Candidates having keen interest in animal welfare, social causes and wildlife conservation will have an added advantage.

in New Delhi with extensive travel at short notice to deal with
wildlife situations.

Qualifications
:
Candidates
with BVSC or MVSC Wildlife with a minimum 2-3 years of experience
in wildlife / zoo work. Candidates having an inclination or passion
for treating wildlife also encouraged to apply. Willingness
to learn, work long hours is required. He/ she must have good communication
skill and should be very comfortable with animals. |
Job Profile:
the Candidate selected will be
working closely & treating rescued or injured wild animals
and work in close association with State Forest Departments and
local administration, for ensuring reliable and effective wildlife

Qualifications:
Candidates with Social Work / Social Welfare/ Rural
Management / Social Sciences Masters Degree or similar with a minimum
of 1 to 2 years experience in working with tribal or backward communities.
Candidate must be able to assess and report on livelihood issues.
Candidate must be proficient with techniques such as needs
assessment,
income generation & micro enterprise development etc. If the Candidate
has an interest or inclination towards Wildlife and an understanding
of wildlife playerconservation, this would be an added advantage.
The candidate must be a good team and conversant with
Hindi & English languages. Skills in computer, report writing, presentations
would be again an added advantage. |

Job
Profile :
The candidate selected would work closely with the HeadQuarters and
also maintain communication flow between the field projects and the
Headquarters & also liason with the State Forest departments &
other Government Departments. The Candidate would be required to travel
& stay with the communities that depend heavily on using wildlife
for earning their livelihood. Candidate would be working to develop
& facilitate alternative income generation programmes among the
communities. This position creates a wonderful opportunity
to do creative social welfare for disadvantaged communities - A challenge
