Mowgli

Mowgli was found orphaned and struggling to nurse from the body of his mother who was electrocuted by poachers, when he was just 10 weeks old. Alone and defenseless, Mowgli would never have been able to survive without his mother, and had to be rescued by the Wildlife SOS team and brought to the safety of the Agra Bear Rescue Facility. Initially scared and confused, this tiny cub was terrified of human beings and cried endlessly.
With time, Mowgli is slowly learning to trust his keepers and the vets, and enjoys regular bottles of milk and lots of love.

Help us care for this little cub by sponsoring him here.

Suma

Rescued from poachers during a nightlong raid by our anti-poaching unit, Suma was an incredibly scared and deeply traumatised bear when she first came to live at the Agra Bear Rescue Facility. Her canines had been smashed and her delicate muzzle crudely pierced, leaving painful scars across her muzzle and an immense amount of stress and fear in this young female sloth bear. Suma took a long time to finally settle in at the facility, and to make friends with the other bears. Although she is still shy, she is slowly recovering from the horrors she underwent, and is learning to trust the people caring for her.
Would you like to sponsor Suma’s care and be a part of her journey to recovery?

Rose

Rose was found limping through a village in Madhya Pradesh, with no mother in sight. The three-month old cub had lost her left forelimb to a poaching trap, and was pitifully thin and in considerable agony when we rescued her and brought her to our bear rescue centre in Bhopal. Rose finds it extremely difficult to walk, using her tiny muzzle as a crutch, and whimpering in pain. She was terrified of people and cried constantly, refusing to eat or sleep for days.
Rose is being treated for her wounds by our team of vets, and we’re determined to give her a second shot at life. Would you like to give some love to little Rose?

Elvis

Elvis was brought to the Agra Bear Rescue Facility, after being rescued from the hands of cruel poachers who were about to smuggle the poor soul when he was a 2 month old cub. Now that he is completely over his initial apprehension, this playful and energetic cub has emerging as the most mischievous bear in our care. He loves milk and climbing trees, often having to be coaxed down with his favourite treats- fruit and honey.
Would you like to sponsor this naughty bundle of fun?

Cupid

Cute and cuddly, Cupid has stepped into this world as a ray of hope! Weighing approximately 3 kilos, the little cub is always seen sticking to the mother.Cupid is very attached to the mother and sometimes can’t be found as she is hiding behind the mother’s shaggy coat. With eyes like little buttons and a cute pink snout, the baby is hardly 6 weeks old. Kavi bear (Cupid’s mother) receives extra serving of food with nutritious supplements as she needs to feed Cupid. The mother is very possessive about the baby and doesn’t like the baby out of her sight for even a few minutes and Cupid complements her by being a clingy baby!
