Responsibilities:

  • Drafting updates on animals and blogs for the website.

SENIOR MANAGER

Job Location: Bangalore

Position Summary: Manages the day-to-day operations of the Bannerghatta Bear Rescue Center and Born Free foundation Tiger Facility, Routine Management of  Animal Care Staff at BBRC and BFF Tiger Facility, Staff Discipline management, Fund raising, Daily account keeping Volunteer Program Management and Implementation, correspondence with forest officials for non-veterinary matters, budgeting, record-keeping, facility maintenance and inventory maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day to day operations of BBRC and BFF, responsible for management of animal care staff with detailed duty list for each member.
  • Staff leave management
  • Co-ordinate with Head Office regarding staff PF and salary related matters,
  • Staff attendance maintenance including OD register
  • Staff discipline maintenance in relation to uniform, behavior, punctuality etc.
  • Facilitates administration related activities and co-ordination with Head Office and other institutions and organizations regarding the same.
  • Development and timely modification of SOPs related to administration and staff related matters.
  • Liasoning and scope of establishment of MoU’s with other Institutes and Organizations for scientific research and study, in consultation with Director of Veterinary Operations and Research.
  • Responsible for ensuring facility  maintenance is accomplished following established “check lists”; identifies those aspects of facility infrastructure that require maintenance, repair or replacement as well as identifying possible facility improvements that could further goals and missions.
  • Responsible for inviting  quotations in connection with maintenance and repair works at BBRC and for purchase of any equipments/machines if any, in a cost effective way and supervision of all such activities ,beginning from sanction of the above works and purchases from WSOS management
  • Liasoning and Official Correspondence related to BBRC & BFF in consultation with WSOS management.
  • Responsible for daily account keeping, maintenance of account register, and cheque book.
  • Maintenance of donation receipt book
  • Managing center’s budget, timely co-ordination with Head Office for dispatch of supplier cheques, ensuring operational efficiency and responsible for spending at all times, identifying opportunities to save costs and conserve resources.
  • Set up BBRC’s regional fundraising and identify projects and/or equipment needs that could be the focus of future fundraising activities.
  • Identify and coordinate with corporates to get support from their CSR Program for WSOS projects.
  • Responsible for Volunteer Co-ordination programs (overseas as well as Indian volunteers) and Drafting of suitable volunteer activities schedule and their food, accommodation and transportation.
  • Communicates regularly with regarding all ongoing Volunteer programs to Head Office.
  • Co-ordinate and work with other Center Managers and organisations to ensure the effective management and development of internship programs sharing resources equally and fairly.
  • Ensures effective management of and support for volunteers inlne with BBRC Human Resource policies.
  • Responsible for Outreach and PR activities and Donors/Supporter’ visits/tours. Ensures center is kept clean and organized and is ready to   accommodate unexpected officials/partner visits at all times.
  • Ensures animal stories are shared with the Communication team, Head Office in a timely manner.
  • Responsible as the custodian of inventory items and equipments at BBRC and their safe upkeep and maintenance and record keeping.
  • Responsible for good maintenance of WSOS vehicles at BBRC and their log book updates.
  • Co-ordinate with driving staff at BBRC in connection with vehicle insurance and other repair works in a cost effective way.
  • Responsible for monthly payments and updates of CUG mobile connections and internet connections at BBRC.
  • Supervise maintenance of Gensets at BBRC and record keeping.
  • Responsible for developing good community relationship and strategic partnerships with other organizations, government agencies, local       companies etc.
  • Record keeping in relation to all non-veterinary works and safe upkeep of documents.
  • Monthly reports to Head office regarding all non-veterinary activities.
  • Perform other duties and functions as instructed by Director of Research & Veterinary Operations and Co-founders and report to him.

  • A graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized University.

VIDEO/PHOTOGRAPHER PRODUCER/EDITOR

Job Location: Agra/Delhi

Position Summary: This person will produce marketing, fundraising, campaign, sanctuary and rescue videos/photographs as needed.   Specific tasks may include event promotion videos/photos, story driven videos/photos about specific animals for fundraising purposes and videos that show case Wildlife SOS’s work. Projects are assigned by the Communications/Development Director who then reviews and provides feedback on the videos.  The workload is primarily with bears and elephants; however, there is a variety of wildlife projects.  There is some travel and sometimes on short notice. You must also have the technical skills to execute video/photo projects from start to finish and do your own filming and editing for each video/photo.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce, direct, shoot and edit video projects as assigned
  • Take photographs of ongoing projects
  • Work with development, communications and field teams to ensure video/photo needs are met
  • Manage video/photo library
  • Produce video news releases, educational videos, public service announcements, and other video projects for public distribution in a variety of forums.
  • Upload, organize and rename digital files to server and to Youtube in an efficient and expedient manner
  • Collaborate with creative, marketing, PR and editorial staff (among others) to understand project needs and requirements
  • Have a working knowledge of social media platforms and web sites, to ensure integration of video is consistent and compatible with the style, approach and messaging that is required for all content and messaging.
  • Work effectively with a variety of people, including WSOS, volunteers, and representatives of other local humane groups.
  • Travel to other locations as requested on video production assignments.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimally 2 years of experience in various aspects of video production, including writing, editing, camera work, and non-linear editing in either Premiere or Final Cut.

  • Proficiency with MS office including Word, e-mail, spread sheets plus strong computer skills
  • Ability to duplicate, store, archive and catalogue video projects for easy finding and future use
