Background: Manu spent his life as a blind ‘begging’ elephant, forced to walk long distances and perform in ceremonies. Years of neglect left him visually impaired, malnourished, and with severe joint damage and infections. His health suddenly failed, causing him to collapse and remain lying on the ground for over 36 hours. Wildlife SOS stepped in with urgent on-site treatment, using crane support and slings to help him stand again. | READ MORE ABOUT MANU
