An inter school painting competition was held at the Kashmir Harvard Educational Institute, Habak, Naseembagh.  The event was organized by Wildlife SOS in collaboration with the Department of Wildlife Protection J and K in which about 150 students from 20 different schools of the valley participated.

The theme of the event was ‘Wildlife Conservation.’  Apart from being a painting competition, it was a platform where the kids modeled their raw concepts and imagination.  It was great to see the beautiful use of colors and skills by the budding artists.  They drew the entire gloomy story of the dwindling wildlife and also reflected both pessimistic and optimistic ideas.  At least we felt confident that our future is in safe hands.  The intensity of their concern for conservation of wildlife can be seen from their participation in the event, despite their examination looming over their heads.

Here are some of the painting as well as the winners.

This received third place.

This received second place.

And last (but not least)… first place.
