Recently, Wildlife SOS had organised it’s first online auction fundraiser that started from 7th April and continued till 16th April 2014. The items available for auction included footprints of rescued leopards & elephants, decorative bags & scarfs made by Kalandar women and paintings from well-versed artists such as Alpana Ahuja, Geetha R, Vikram Nayar, Renuka Sondhi Gulati, Anita Trehan and the like. Apart from these items, the donors also had the option to sponsor and feed their favorite bears, elephants and leopards or provide 24 hour care to a rescued animal. One could also sponsor and support the education for the children of Kalandar community. Many original bear giver shirts were also sold during the auction along with books, backpacks & jerseys which were donated by people for the auction. International tour packages such as Behind the scenes tour of San Diego Zoo Institute for Conservation Research and the Veterinary Hospital, stay at Hyatt Place Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City and stay at Hampi’s Boulders Lodge were also available to bid on and won.
It was heart warming to see people from different walks of life from all over the world come forward to support our cause and donate so generously. The entire team of Wildlife SOS feels grateful and promises to continue working actively towards protecting Wildlife. Thank you again for making a difference.
