Recently, we told you of an elephant by the name of Luna who needed immediate help. We didn’t know much about her, only that she was very sick and in agony. With your help, we were able to mobilize quickly in order to get her to our elephant hospital. The following photos document her multi-day journey, filled with stops along the way to allow her to rest and to address her more urgent medical needs.
This is a photo of Luna before starting the journey. We weren’t able to show her beautiful face until we were well on our way.
This undercover photo was taken a few days prior to the Wildlife SOS team arriving. Here we get a glimpse of what her life has been like over the years.

The team needed to stop multiple times to allow Luna to rest. The use of a crane was often needed to help her get back on her feet.
Our veterinarian, Dr. Yaduraj, examining Luna and providing some treatment in the field. The staff has been by her side every step of the way.
Luna was provided fresh greens, fruits, and plenty of water during her long journey.
Another late night stop on the journey to make sure Luna is able to rest and get some good nutrition.

We hope you will consider becoming a monthly supporter to help her. It is possible she will be in hospice care, we don’t know yet. However, we would like to believe that with love, food and medical attention, she will have a long life ahead of her to enjoy. Please click HERE to become a monthly donor and provide for Luna’s care.
Your response of kindness and concern was very touching and enabled us to begin our efforts to bring her some relief. Thank you for coming to Luna’s aid.
