A special thanks to the Gordon and Patricia Gray Animal Welfare Foundation for their support in funding a classroom for our Elephant Care and Conservation Center. This building will be used primarily for educating mahouts in the humane care of elephants.
We realize that we can’t rescue every elephant in India. However, we hope to bring relief to them by educating and training mahouts in managing elephants with kindness and not cruelty.
Able to be transported on a truck, this classroom can be moved to other locations to be able to conveniently instruct mahouts in areas throughout India. The classroom can cold up to 20 pupils comfortably for training.
Stay tuned for more updates on our efforts to help elephants throughout India by giving mahouts the knowledge and training to be compassionate caregivers.
