Background history: Millie was rescued in 2021 from a terrible incident. Forest officials spotted a wild bear limping around a rocky terrain in the Tumkur district of Karnataka. It turned out that her leg was caught in a deadly snare trap. Without losing any more time, the Forest Department immediately contacted Wildlife SOS for assistance. Geared with necessary rescue equipment, our veterinary team reached the location on time and carefully removed the snare which was tightly wound around her right forelimb. She was in need of urgent medical attention and was rushed to the Bannerghatta Bear Rescue Centre. READ MORE
