Popularly known as the “Bear Man of India”, Mr Kartick Satyanarayan is now a leading voice for the conservation of Asian elephants in India. Through engaging stories from a lifetime dedicated to wildlife rescue and conservation, he inspires audiences to believe that positive change is possible.
Since 1979, Ms. Geeta Seshamani has been working for the welfare of animals throughout her own well established organisation, Friendicoes SECA. Her endless passion for wildlife led her to co-found Wildlife SOS.

To understand why Wildlife SOS’s merchandise collection stands out, let us take a closer look at our roots. For generations, the Kalandar community relied on ‘dancing’ bears as a means of livelihood. When Wildlife SOS stepped in to rescue the bears, we could not ignore the impact it would have on the community that depended on this practice.
Providing the community with an alternative livelihood was a priority. With professional guidance, Kalandar women began learning new craft skills. Today, every handcrafted piece is more than a product, it is a story shaped by time, effort and upliftment that finally allowed these women to find their voice.
Through Tour for Tusks, the co-founders share the urgent story of India’s Asian elephants, the challenges they face, and the hope that rescue, rehabilitation and conservation bring.
