Bobby is a new member of our team residing at the Agra Bear Rescue Facility (ABRF). He was rescued by the anti-poaching team of Wildlife SOS from a small village in Jharkhand 2 years ago. He was a 6 year old bear who weighed very little at the time of the rescue.
Bobby is now almost 8 years old and one of the youngest and most notorious sloth bears in ABRF. He spends most of his time outdoors playing with Akki bear. He is extremely good-natured and maintains good relations with everyone in his enclosure except Pinchi bear and often fights with her. Booby and Akki share a close bond and can be seen together searching for rotten logs and termites all around the field. They love playing on the hammock and had in fact broken one recently. Bobby dislikes monkeys and often chases them away whenever they are around as they create a nuisance for him.
When the sun is out, Bobby enjoys playing in the pond and water pits and troubling Rengu and Nandi as they nap. It’s a delight to see him splashing water all over himself in joy. He loves to stay outdoors and can rarely be seen in his den except during meals. Though he relishes all his meals, dates and honey are his most favorite.
Thank you for helping Bobby lead a healthy and safe life. We are happy to have him with us at Wildlife SOS!
