During the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, government authorities have asked us to help battle the virus by keeping at least 6 feet away from each other. Along with hand-washing, social distancing is one of the most important ways we can “flatten the curve” and slow the spread of COVID-19. This will give our health-care professionals, hospitals, and other institutions more valuable time to prepare and protect themselves, and aid the many people whose lives may be on the line from this virus.
For many people, keeping a safe distance from others can be tough medicine to take. Human connections promote wellness which makes it easier to cope with such situations. However, saving lives from COVID-19 requires all of us—young, old and in-between—to actively take part in overcoming this crisis. It’s important to remember that we’re all in this together!
